Networking, control & monitoring of machines and plants
Industry 4.0 for production, automation and logistics is more than just a vision of the future. The networking of machines and plants with the virtual world by means of currently available technologies is already opening up new possibilities for control and monitoring for machine builders.
Engineering services for machine builders
For machine and component manufacturers, this offers the opportunity to drive forward new business models and thus secure an individual competitive advantage. By equipping machines and components with Industrie 4.0 components, manufacturing and handling machines are becoming increasingly interdisciplinary. Different requirements from the areas of information technology, computer science, classic automation technology and mechanics must be brought together.
SYS TEC electronic is intensively engaged in the topic of digitalization and networking of machines. Our control solutions already offer a symbiosis of established technologies of classical automation and components of information and communication technology. We rely on open standards in connection with manufacturer-specific protocols and interfaces.
Be it the use of databases in control systems, secure data transmission via the Internet or an intuitive user interface: With SYS TEC electronic as a development partner for innovative and future-proof automation and control solutions, machine builders benefit from our development teams. We are a reliable partner with regard to your material, deadline and cost targets!
Control and operating units for use in construction machinery
For mobile applications, electronic components must reliably withstand a wide range of environmental influences and meet high requirements in terms of robustness. The mechanical load capacity, the ability to withstand extreme climatic conditions and the susceptibility to electromagnetic interference are among the most important factors for evaluating the durability of these components. SYS TEC electronic can draw on a repertoire of testing and safety procedures to ensure the functionality of its components.
For example, SYS TEC electronic has designed a robust Human Machine Interface (HMI) and control unit for use in harsh environments. This involved testing the components under extreme conditions in various thermal simulations based on 3D models in order to develop and optimize a heat sink concept that can ensure reliable operation within the specified operating conditions. In addition, a comprehensive internal diagnostic function with error logging and various software and hardware protection measures have been implemented.
We can develop robust control and operating units for you that fully meet your durability and quality requirements. From prototype with subsequent series production as well as burn-in test to large-scale production, we are your competent partner.
CNC kernel for fast and precise pick-and-place applications
Full automation in the production of high-volume piece goods has been state of the art for many years. In the age of the Internet of Things and Industry 4.0, autonomous manufacturing is penetrating further and further into the area of small quantities up to custom manufacturing. Here, cost-effective and flexible control solutions are required that can be easily adapted to the respective customer requirements. SYS TEC electronic as a competent development service provider can draw on more than 27 years of experience in this field.
A central core component in automation technology is the control of axes. Fixed motion sequences can be realized here in the form of a PLC program. For the production of smaller and often changing series, much more flexible concepts are necessary. CNC-controlled machines offer much more flexibility here and are therefore clearly superior to pure PLC solutions.
SYS TEC electronic offers a Linux-based software solution for CNC machines, consisting of an NC kernel and an IEC 6113103 PLC runtime environment with visualization. For efficient control of multiple axes and real-time processing of position and I/O data, SYS TEC electronic has developed an FPGA-based motion control card that is adapted to the NC kernel. The open software structure allows porting to different PC hardware and can thus be easily adapted to customer requirements.
Human Machine Interface
In addition to the pure machine control or operational control of a machine, input and monitor devices are required which serve as an interface to the operator (human-machine interface). This machine control panel is used to control the processes as well as to set up and parameterize the machine.
From today's point of view there are several technologies how such a Human Machine Interface (HMI) can be designed. The original form is a classic screen with an input keyboard, which is located directly on the machine. However, since this concept grants only few degrees of freedom and no dynamics, operating and display elements with integrated touch display are primarily used. This allows the operating environment to be flexibly adapted to customer-specific requirements. However, the trend is increasingly moving in the direction that machine operation can be implemented using contemporary, modern end devices such as tablets or smartphones. This means that the screen content is communicated to the machine via various interfaces (for example OPC UA). This means that the screen content is decoupled from the respective operating system and end device.
SYS TEC electronic will develop an HMI for you that is specially tailored to your requirements, together with a display and the relevant operating system software. The associated Graphical Users Interface (GUI), which is programmed with Qt and SpiderControl, for example, intuitively maps the process logic of your machine. The special feature of this development is that both the GUI and the machine sequence control can be integrated into the device. This means that not only content is displayed, but also the machine functionality is embedded in the software.
